ISLAMABAD: As many as 244 local and international exhibitors are participating in 15th edition of “Pakistan Auto show 2019 (PAPS)” which would held from April 12 to 14 at Expo Center, Karachi with the theme of “Raising Pakistan”.
Organized by Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) the three days event will provide an opportunity to the local and international exhibitors to display their auto products. Masood Khan, convener Pakistan Auto show (PAPS) 2019 said this in a brief interaction with APP here on Thursday .
He added that with the largest ever participation from international level 107 foreign exhibitors from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Holland, Taiwan United Arab Emeritus, USA, Japan, Germany, France, Turkey, Thailand, Taiwan, Sri Lanka and others are participating in the event. Chinese companies are also showing great interest in the show and about 70 Chinese companies manufacturing automobiles and motorcycles parts are expected to participate and exhibit their products in the show. He said 89 local exhibitors, 28 sponsors, three universities, and 18 support organizations were taking part in this event.
He informed that PAPS also aimed at encouraging youth and providing free of cost space to the students of engineering universities where they can exhibit their projects. He said this forum was also providing linkages to the local and international investors and giving them an opportunity to showcase their products. He added that the launch of the new model of Alto Mehran in this show was one of the attractions which was expected to grab the attention of the investors as well as buyers who are waiting for this launch since long.
He informed that new entrants including KIA and Changan would also be displaying some of their potential offerings to Pakistan at the exhibition. He said that Pakistan Auto Show was the pioneering trade exhibition for the rapidly developing automotive aftermarket in Pakistan. The largest exhibition of automobiles in the country was expected to attract number of stakeholders from national and international auto industry, he informed.
The event will feature a display of the full range of motor vehicles in diverse categories including passenger cars, trucks, buses, tractors, rickshaws, motorcycles, auto parts manufacturers, service providers, machinery makers, tool makers, antique cars and heavy motorbikes. He informed that the last year’s auto show held in Lahore attracted more than 200 companies, comprising 125 domestic enterprises and 78 international exhibitors and they were expecting much more response this year.—APP
