KARACHI: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Islamabad for establishment of the Pak-Turkmen Joint Business Council with mandate to take initiatives for increasing economic cooperation, bilateral trade and investment.
FPCCI President Engr. Daro Khan Achakzai and Chairman, Board of State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepharov, on behalf of CCI of Turkmenistan, signed the MoU, in presence of Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said a FPCCI release here on Wednesday.
The Joint Business Council will act as a settled working strategy between the national chambers of the two countries to assist the business circles of Turkmenistan and Pakistan to strengthen and enhance bilateral economic relations between both the countries for promoting bilateral trade and investment wiithin the frameworks of rules, legislations issued by the authorities concerned in both countries.
Under the umbrella of FPCCI and CCI of Turkmenistan, the JBC will work to encourage and support the business communities of both countries to hold exhibitions and to exchange trade delegations —Press Realese
